{Snow Wonderland} A child's Dream

{{DREAM}}

As a child growing up in the south, I dreamed of a WHITE Christmas, such as this. Note: Picture on the Left
Each year, if we were lucky a few snow flurries would drop on the ground, yet their arrival never made Christmas day. Even though the years passed my dream never ceased. I would think to my self wouldn't it be lovely to build a REAL snowman- not one made out a icy mud. Well, I soon grew out of those childish dreams... and went on with life.

**{Ten Years Later}**

{{Reality}}

Be careful what you wish for! I live in Utah, and it SNOWS constantly... I guess as a child all you have to worry about is bundling up before heading out to greet the winter wonderland guest. But, as an adult, you have to SHOVEL it, DRIVE in it, get STUCK in it, SCRAPE it etc.

Except I am not the one that usual shovels.... Thanks, Sweetie.

Despite all the negatives that these flakes bring, I am going to take full advantage of the enjoyment it can provide- even if my last sledding experience ending with me in the ER at 3:30 in the morning. What wonderful freshman memories.

{Challenge} Take time to enjoy our little friends...

since they aren't here for long.

Dinner with {The YORKS}

THREE Simple joys in Life that you experience with loved ones:
1} Eating out for your birthday- I have chosen California Pizza Kitchen (also known as CPK by the frequent diners) for the past 3 years as THE place to host my birthday dinner... mmmmm!
Side Note: I think James got food poisoning from their Jerk Chicken pizza.
Sorry babe, you have been up-chucking the entire morning!
2} Sneaking up on CO-workers to make sure that they are doing their job. While Ryan chats with employees, the girls (Geneve & Lil' Sis) sneak away from their fiance and husband to check out the Christmas sale at Kirklands.
3} Bumping into old friends that you haven't seen in months. Good to see ya Amber and Tanae!

{24} Livin' Las Vegas

For my 24th birthday...
James took me to VEGAS for the weekend.
During the trip I enjoyed trying different
settings with my DSLR camera. I love the
look of black and white photography.
This view provides the perception of the travelers- US! During the trip there we played different CAR games and listened to Gary Allan's Greatest Hits.

The clouds and weather were amazing.

Thanks sweetie for a GREAT time.

PREThanksgiving: AUNTIE LYN TIME

AUNTIE LYN comes to town right before the thanksgiving HOLIDAY to visit us "U-tards" which is the endearing nickname she gives us.
There is always fun things to do when family is in town, such as:

Aunite LYN enjoying her Pumpkin PIE

#1 Dance performances

Our clan was made up of LYN- of course, mom, Gloria, Bill (thanks for the tickets), and Me.... the kids were incredible.

Dance Club: Art With Heart Nov 21 - Nov 22 ProvoOver 400 young dancers ages 3-18 years from up and down the Wasatch Front combine their talents in a performance showcasing jazz, ballet, hip hop, and tap to benefit the children from Shriners Hospital for children. Art With Heart has earned nearly $150,000 over the past 8 years for Shriners Hospital. The performance includes extremely talented young dancers with appearances from several current young Shriners patients!
"kids who dance so others can walk"

#2 FOOD- enchiladas Lyn's favorite genre which is Mexican... AUntie can't get enough of those chips and hot sauce. Note: she almost ate James' Mom entire bottle of homemade salsa by herself. James wasn't to excited about that...lol.

RECIPE:
Chicken (James Favorite)
- 3 chicken breasts
- 10 oz tube of sour cream
- 2 cans of enchilada sauce (red mild is the best)
- 1 small can of green chilies
- 1 package of flour tortillas
- Lots of CHEESE
Spinach (for those that are more healthy eaters)
- 1 box of 10 oz frozen spinach
- 1/2 cup of green onions
-1/2 cup of sour cream
- 1 can of GREEN enchilada sauce
- Lots of mozzarella cheese
-1 cup of low fat Cottage Cheese
After cooking sunday dinner at gloria's we enjoyed playing a few card games with family and relaxing.
#3 Enjoying Family time
all the sisters were together and it is always so hilarious when the four of them get
together especially if you add in the Katrice factor- Loved it.

Katrice attacking me... and yes she is HEAVY.
