{Story time}
It was a crisp March afternoon, a Friday to be exact, and my friend/co-worker Ashley just informed me we were having lunch with James. James was "the guy". The one who had won over Ashley, and now she needed a friend to join her on the adventure. I was going to be that friend... to set off together across country making millions while saving one family at a time from robbers, fire, medical emergencies, etc. These two were out to convert me to the Security System summer-selling World. But hey, a free lunch when my own dollar could only stretch so far... why not? So off I went in Ashley's little silver turbo machine to meet James for lunch at
<----------------------------(This place.)I had been there a time or two before and enjoyed myself so I was looking forward more towards the food than the "purpose" of our meeting. As we sat down we casually made small talk like normal awkward groupings. As time was creepy by I spoke up noticing that I had only 20 more minutes until my lunch break was over. James and Ashley reassured me that work doesn't care how long we take for lunch breaks. So we sat and talked over our yummy food about the possibilities of this so called "journey" together...
OUTCOMES of this LUNCH Date:
1. I went on the journey, but with a little twist: Ashley didn't join me instead a ring on my left hand from "the guy" was my companion.
2. I began to realize that I trusted James more than anyone else... Let's be honest I was willing to move across country to be near him (which I never admitted vocally until now- even though everyone knew).
3. I DID get in trouble for taking a TWO-HOUR lunch break by my boss... (PS I hate getting in trouble!)who knew a receptionist was so very important.
4. James is definitely a salesman. He has a natural talent for it, yet is completely genuine at the same time. Is this possible an HONEST salesperson? There is at least one in the world.
5. Wingers brings me back to that afternoon and puts a smile on my heart.
{Moral of story} If someone suggests "Wingers," I say "yes please"!
Some other happy moments captured here: *First visit to wingers was with Ashley, Whitney, and Sara-thanks for the invite girls *took Whitney here for her going away dinner from me before her mission *on the way to lunch with James' family, Dad asked "what we were" aka our DTR had*we told my mother she is expecting her first grandchild on her birthday here*enjoyed a night out with Kali and Mark last weekend here- always fun with them*and many more moments to be had.
