It was about time.
It flew across my face like the back of someone's hand. It was that real. I thought to myself, "it can even happen at church." Actually, church is the best place to receive it- let it be called an epiphany, light bulb moment, insight etc. I personally like to refer to it as personal revelation, especially since it occurred during Sunday school.
Journaling: The importance of record keeping.
People it's IMPORTANT.
I always had a desire to write down my thoughts. To be honest, my journaling efforts were more for selfish reasons: to clear my mind, express myself, remember special moments.
But having a child seems to change every aspect of your life which has changed my mentality immensely. Record keeping is for posterity. To allow them access into a window of my life that they wouldn't be able to enter otherwise.
My reasons have changed. I do it now so she(they-not a baby announcement) may see me in more ways than just their mother or grandmother. So they may know my heart and convictions. My opinions and joys. My pains and struggles. So when they are traveling through this earthly experience they might find comfort and solace in my words. Or humor. Whatever they may need at the time.
My new goal: to provide a written legacy.
Translation: I need to blog more.
